Hola, soy María Paola Sanson, hermana de Gil Sanson.

Hoy escribo estas palabras con mucha esperanza y también con mucha humildad. Esta es la primera vez que nuestra familia recurre a una campaña pública, porque siempre hemos encontrado la manera de resolver nuestras dificultades por nuestros propios medios. Pero esta vez necesitamos el apoyo de una comunidad más grande.

Muchos de ustedes conocen a Gil. Y lo aprecian.

Lo conocen por su arte, por su música, por sus pinturas, por sus ideas y por esa manera tan particular que tiene de interpretar y compartir el mundo. Gil ha sido artista toda su vida: un creador integral, un músico, un pintor y una persona con una inteligencia y sensibilidad extraordinarias.

Durante años ha compartido su talento con muchas personas a través de internet. Ha creado vínculos, ha inspirado, ha enseñado y ha dejado una huella en quienes han tenido la oportunidad de conocer su trabajo.

Hoy queremos pedirle a esa misma comunidad que lo acompañe en un momento importante de su vida.

Gil tiene 55 años, vive en Caracas, Venezuela, y recientemente recibió un diagnóstico cardíaco que requiere atención médica.

Después de varios estudios, incluyendo una prueba de esfuerzo, los médicos determinaron hallazgos compatibles con isquemia miocárdica inducible y diagnosticaron angina inestable. Por esta razón, su cardiólogo indicó la realización de un cateterismo cardíaco con carácter urgente, con la posibilidad de realizar una angioplastia y colocar un stent si fuera necesario.

El procedimiento no puede realizarse hasta contar con los recursos económicos necesarios.

Nuestra meta es recaudar US$5,500 para cubrir los gastos médicos asociados al procedimiento, incluyendo honorarios, insumos y la atención necesaria para su recuperación.

Como artista independiente, Gil no cuenta con un ingreso estable. Sus trabajos remotos y proyectos artísticos le han permitido salir adelante, pero no alcanzan para cubrir un gasto médico de esta magnitud.

Hoy recurrimos a ustedes, a quienes han acompañado su arte y han sido parte de su camino.

A Heart to Keep Creating: Help Gil Sanson Receive the Treatment He Needs

After a lifetime dedicated to art, Gil now needs his community’s support to take care of his heart so he can continue creating.

Hello, my name is María Paola Sanson, and I am writing today to ask for help for my brother, Gil Sanson.

This is a message I never imagined I would have to write.

Throughout our lives, my family has always faced challenges with hard work, determination, and unity. We have always found a way to overcome difficult moments on our own, which is why asking for help publicly has not been easy. However, today we are facing a situation that is beyond our financial ability, and we need the support of those who can stand with us.

Who is Gil?

Gil is 55 years old and lives in Caracas, Venezuela.

He has been an artist his entire life. Art is not only what he does — it is the way he understands and experiences the world.

Gil is a multidisciplinary artist: a musician, painter, and creative in many forms of expression. His intelligence, sensitivity, and unique way of seeing life have shaped everything he creates.

Those who know Gil know that he is much more than an artist. He is a kind, generous, and deeply human person who has touched many lives through his creativity, his knowledge, and his willingness to share his gifts with others.

Gil is also a neurodivergent person. Throughout his life, he has faced challenges related to his condition, but he has always moved forward with courage, authenticity, and remarkable strength.

Today, he is facing a new challenge.

His Medical Situation

After undergoing several cardiac evaluations, including a stress test, Gil received concerning results. The medical report showed findings consistent with exercise-induced myocardial ischemia, and his cardiologist diagnosed unstable angina.

Because of these findings, his doctor has urgently recommended a cardiac catheterization, with the possibility of performing an angioplasty and placing a stent if a blockage is found during the procedure.

This procedure is necessary to understand the condition of his coronary arteries and provide the appropriate treatment as soon as possible.

Why We Need Help

Gil does not have a stable job. Like many independent artists in Venezuela, his income depends on occasional remote work and artistic projects, which are not enough to cover a medical procedure of this magnitude.

Our family has always done everything possible to handle our needs independently, but this time we need support.

That is why we created this campaign.

Our goal is to raise $5,500 USD to cover:

The cardiac catheterization procedure.

Medical fees.

Necessary medical supplies.

A possible angioplasty and stent placement if required.

Immediate recovery-related medical expenses.
