Un gruppo di giovani change makers che si sono conosciuti durante la preparazione dell’evento internazionale The Economy of Francesco, voluto dal Santo Padre, che ha selezionato 2.000 giovani da tutto il mondo per realizzare il sogno di una nuova economia, più equa ed inclusiva.
IL PROBLEMA
In Zambia non esistono scuole superiori professionali che preparino gli studenti ad entrare nel mondo del lavoro: la formazione è generica e questo obbliga a frequentare il college o l’università, che hanno un costo proibitivo per la maggior parte delle famiglie zambiane. Questo porta molti giovani a chiudere in un cassetto i propri sogni: possono ambire solo ad impieghi che non richiedono nessuna qualifica, spesso saltuari e poco redditizi.
LA SOLUZIONE
Ecco perché abbiamo fondato PACAR SCHOOL , la prima scuola professionale di informatica completamente gratuita in Zambia, integrata all’interno del sistema scolastico superiore. Un programma educativo progettato per offrire agli studenti delle scuole tecniche conoscenze specifiche nel campo dell’informatica, della comunicazione digitale e delle nuove tecnologie, eliminando il costo dell'educazione superiore. Abbiamo trascorso gli ultimi mesi pianificando ogni dettaglio di questo progetto: ci crediamo fermamente, ma nulla di tutto questo potrà diventare realtà se non raccoglieremo la somma necessaria per realizzarlo. Il denaro raccolto per questo progetto andrà all'acquisizione dei seguenti elementi: uffici per la Pacar School € 3.000 all'anno, computer € 12.000, attrezzature e arredi € 2.000, servizi Internet € 4.800, periferiche, macchina da stampa e fotocopiatrice € 2.000, pagamenti per tutor € 20.000, software / servizi cloud € 720 e licenze specificamente legate a questo progetto € 2.000.

UNA SPERANZA CONCRETA
Lo Zambia si trova oggi ad affrontare una gravissima crisi economica e sociale: per invertire la rotta il Paese ha bisogno di poter contare su nuove generazioni più istruite, capaci e consapevoli, su giovani che siano in grado di diventare risora, su menti che sappiano essere innovative e rivoluzionarie.
Noi vogliamo dare ai giovani zambiani che vengono selezionati per studiare nelle scuole tecniche la possibilità di realizzare il proprio potenziale, di ambire ad una carriera in campo informatico e delle nuove tecnologie, di contribuire alla crescita economica e sociale dello Zambia.

COMPUTERS IN EVERY ZAMBIAN SCHOOL
Education and technology as the keys for a better future, but education must be of excellence and certified to serve a purpose. Free computers, free connection, free online courses and a Diploma upon completion is what we want to offer the Zambian technical high school.
WHO WE ARE
We are a group of young change makers, came together during the preparation for the international event The Economy of Francesco, organized by Pope Francis, which selected 2.000 young people from all over the world to realize the dream of a new sustainable and inclusive economy.
THE PROBLEM
In Zambia there are no professional high schools, that prepare students to enter the job market but rather these schools concentrate on general and science. This forces students upon graduation to seek college or university, which are prohibitively and exclusively expensive for most Zambian families. This leads many young people to shutter their dreams in a drawer: they can only aspire to jobs that do not require any qualifications, often occasional and not sustaining.
OUR SOLUTION
It is for this reason we founded PACAR SCHOOL , the first completely free professional computer school in Zambia, to be integrated into the high school education system. An educational program designed to offer students with specific technical knowledge in the faculty of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) while we completely eliminate the cost of education. We have spent the last few months planning every detail: we firmly believe in it, but none of this will become a reality if we do not collect the necessary amount to kick off the project. If everyone puts what they can, we can do it. If we believe in it together, if we commit ourselves together, we will truly change the lives of many young people.
THE INITIAL BUDGET
The initial budget to effectively realize and kick start this wonderful project is €53,720. The money raised for this project will go into the acquisition of the following items: office premises for Pacar School €3,000 per year, computers €12,000, fixtures and fittings €2,000, internet services €4,800, peripherals, printing and photocopying machine €2,000, payments for tutors €20,000, software/cloud services €720 and licenses specifically related to this project €2,000.

Zambia today is facing a very serious economic and social crisis: the only hope of reversing the course is that of being able to count on new generations considering they receive better education, making them capable and aware; on young people who are able to become a resource for the country; on minds that know how to be innovative and revolutionary.
We want to give young Zambians the opportunity to realize their potential and aspire without the obstacle of cost. To having a career in the field of information communication and technology, to contribute to the economic and social growth of the country.
