CAN YOU HELP A FELLOW BIKER?
Meet Jason, a fellow biker. A lot like the majority of you - A hard working partner, a young father, a biker.
Jason, a biker who works hard for a living to support his family and loves his biking, who is sadly about to be in the fight for his life for the 2nd time.
We met Jason when he came into DRS MAX Racing wanting to have his much beloved 2021 Triumph Street Triple 765 R flashed and set-up on the Dyno, which we sorted for him and happy with the results off he went.
A few weeks later, he was back looking like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders, asking me to sell his bike for him. Happy to help, but a little confused, he explained his reasons to me; which has really, really affected us all here at DRS MAX Racing.
You see Jason had fought and won a battle with cancer 10 years ago; a malignant melanoma in the lymph nodes. He had recently attended what he thought would be his last full year clear of symptoms appointment, only to be told it had returned.
He was in the process of sensibly organising his affairs, and he came to us to organise the bike to be sold in order to pay back the finance company, so as not to leave any financial mess for his family and loved ones. This, along with listening to a young father in his 30's and how he was coming up with a bucket list, whereby he wanted to do a track day, but knowing he had a small window to do this in because of his previous experience of the planned aggressive treatment and how debilitating it is, really ignited us at DRS MAX Racing into doing something.
We quickly organised him a replacement bike - A Yamaha R6 and booked him on track.
But we think as Bikers, we can do more and we are asking for your help.
We are setting up a 'Go Fund Me Page' for Jason, who will get no outside financial help or wages whilst in the fight for his life. A Fellow Biker - Imagine this was you.
Now help us help a fellow biker. It doesn't matter how little you can help, all help will be greatly appreciated.
Lets see if we can group together as bikers to help a fellow biker. None of us like to ask for help, especially blokes, especially bikers and especially Jason, but maybe its for us bikers to help when and where its needed without being asked, because as we all know Cancer is a Bitch and the treatment even worse. Every single one of us has been affected by Cancer one way or another. This is your chance to help in a way that will mean something.
Thank you
