I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my son Scott Phillips and his wife Ramona who are going through an unimaginable heartbreak. Since October 2024, Ramona has been bravely battling Triple Negative Breast Cancer. At first, it was confined to her breast, and after many treatments, there was hope it was under control. Sadly, after multiple treatments and tests, the cancer has spread throughout her body. The pain has become so severe that she was in the hospital for two weeks. After being released from the hospital when the pain had finally been gotten under control. Ramona had to be taken back to the hospital less than two days later. Ramona is now back in the hospital with complete loss of her legs, and under going radiation therapy to shrink a tumor pressing on her spinal cord cutting off signal to her legs. They hope to be able to shrink the tumor, and get her legs working again. For some time, she has not been able to work, and my son Scott has been carrying the heavy responsibility of managing all the bills—both medical and household. Their family is surrounded by loved ones as they face the most painful chapter of their lives. Ramona is a proud and independent woman who has fought every step of the way, but the battle is wearing her down. Scott has shown incredible strength, caring for his wife while trying his best to work and provide for their family. Despite their efforts to handle everything themselves and never ask for help, it has become impossible for them to cover their normal bills and mounting medical expenses. Scott has always worked tirelessly, taking any overtime he could to support his family, but the escalating situation has made that impossible. Now, basic bills are becoming unmanageable, and debt is building faster than they can handle. Their family has tried to help in every way they can, but even that is no longer enough. This journey has taken a devastating toll on both of them emotionally and financially. The rapid progression of the cancer and the ever-mounting bills have left them overwhelmed. Recently, Scott and his wife celebrated the birth of their first grandchild, a moment of joy in the midst of so much hardship. I want nothing more as a mom and grandmother myself, but to see Ramona enjoy the same joy as a grandmother as I have had. Funds raised will go directly toward
