Help Repair the Omniah Youth Center

In November of 2023, as all eyes were on Gaza, similar attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank took place unnoticed. The town of Jenin was raided on multiple occasions after Oct 7th. The Omniah center was an unfortunate victim of these acts. Their offices were raided by Israeli occupation forces -- who vandalized and severely damaged their center included many broken windows. We are raising funds to pay for the repair of these damaged center which serves hundreds of children and youth in the city of Jenin in occupied Palestine.

Omniah Youth Center was established in 2006 in Jenin Governorate/northern West Bank.

The idea of ​​establishing the center came in response to bridging the gap in institutions which focus on the issues and needs of Palestinian youth, specifically in marginalized areas in the Palestinian territories.

Since its establishment, Omniah Center has undertaken the responsibility of spreading and strengthening the principles of the rule of law and respect for human rights, in addition to focusing on education and building the capacities of Palestinian youth and providing them with the opportunity to actively participate in construction and sustainable development of their communities.

Omniah Center is licensed according to Palestinian law as an independent, non-profit organization, not affiliated with any political or religious organizations. It provides its services to all Palestinian youth without discrimination.

We are a group of ambitious Palestinian youth. We help young people to help themselves and achieve their dreams, through a package of carefully selected programs and activities..

Vision
Omniah Center aspires to be one of the high ranking leading youth centers in the northern West Bank, and to be an accredited body for building capabilities and enhancing the active participation of Palestinian youth in developing their community and building their country.

Goals
The Omniah Center’s strategy is based on the principle of (Think Globally, Act Locally). Therefore, the Center’s Goals take into account the local Palestinian context and priorities, while at the same time the goals are consistent with the sustainable development goals of the United Nations, specifically goals: 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 16, 17.

* Educating youth about their rights and duties as good citizens and their role in building the Palestinian state.

* Strengthening the role of youth and their effective participation in the development of Palestinian society

* Focusing on building the capacities of youth in marginalized and poor areas.

* Promoting women’s active participation in various development fields, empowering women economically, and informing them of their rights and the importance of their role in community construction and development.

*Promoting the concept of dialogue, the acceptance of different opinions, and cultural exchange.

*Grants and aid aimed at improving the determinants of the quality of life for youth, women and people with disabilities in marginalized areas

Achievements
  • The number of beneficiaries of the center’s services reached approximately 300 annually, among them 180 young woman and 60 people with disabilities.

  • In the last 3 years, Omniah center conducted approximately 300 workshops, and 100 courses.

  • In the past three years, 30 young men and women have received grants for cultural exchange with Turkish, French, Spanish and German institutions.

  • 91 poor families benefited from the home renovation program.
