*UPDATE*
Thank you to everyone who donated and/or reached out to Max. His ACL recovery is going really well and he’s been slowly rehabilitating with great success.
Unfortunately, we received news this week that Max has hemangiosarcoma. The prognosis for this aggressive cancer is about 1 month without treatment. We have decided to keep Max comfortably at home because he would want us to remember him for who he is- a happy go lucky dog. Max appreciates all your help and support throughout all of this.

Anyone who knows Max knows that he is that friendly neighborhood pitbull. His friendliness, playfulness, and happy-go-lucky demeanor steal the hearts of those who meet him.
Unfortunately, one day Max was doing a round of zoomies around the house and tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). His left leg has been out of commission ever since. Max’s vet told us he will need a procedure called tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO). This surgery involves an insertion of hardware in his left knee.
Max is asking for help so that he can walk painlessly again. We thank you so much for your support and will post updates! Max hopes to see his friends again soon .
