UMB - Help us Help the Youth

United Muslims of Brisbane - UMB, is a Muslim dawah organisation that aims to serves the youth.

UMB currently runs many activities throughout the week and has been operating since 2011.

UMB is completely run by volunteers and by people's generous donations.

At this current time UMB is able to establish;

Weekly Saturday youth lectures which includes food and drink

Regular youth outings - ranging from volleyball to swimming at the beach. Emphasis is put on helping the youth learn to become team mates and leaders as well as learning their religion. Food and drink is also provided

Yearly eid celebration and events

Yearly youth camps Daily prayers

Iftar during ramadan & taraweeh & night prayers

Kids quran classes

Sister classes ( quran, religion and Arabic)

Dawah and help for new Muslims

UMB has relied on donations since it has started and has struggled to maintain consistent efforts to provide the public and youth with dawah, activities and support.

We as an organisation are striving to move forward and establish ourselves as a platform for dawah and helping the youth by keeping to the sunnah of the prophet (may blessing and peace be upon him).

The goal for 2017 is to get ahead, financiallly, so we are able to do more and focus more on the the activities we currently and want to offer.

The aim is to raise close to 25000 AUD to cover the rent for the year, thus easing the burden and putting more efforts in other areas.

All donations are welcome and appreciated and will not go unrewarded.

"O you who believe! Spend of that with which we have provided for you, before a day comes when there will be no bargaining, nor friendship, nor intercession. And it is the disbelievers who are the Zaalimoon (wrongdoers)" [Al-baqarah 2:254]

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may allah be pleased with him) that the messenger of Allah (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said, "Allah said: 'Spend, O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you."

This is a recent shot, with the children after their daily quran class. They are having a party celebrating one of the child's completion of reading the whole quran by look.


Here is a collage of the regular youth outings we provide. UMB tries to engage the youth in various activites, such as team sports. Also encouraging the youth to elect team leaders, giving them an opportunity to develop their team and leadership skills. Food, drinks and transport is provided. UMB also aims to minimise costs as much as possible. All funds are solely used for activities such as the above and anything which contributes to the centre.
