EN- I never imagined I would one day need to write these words, but today I come with an open heart and in a moment of deep vulnerability to ask for help.

I am a wife and a mother of three young children, and over the past week, my family has been going through one of the most difficult moments of our lives. My husband, Victor, was detained by ICE while we are still in the process of legal immigration regularization. We were suddenly faced with a situation that turned our lives upside down overnight.

All at once, I had to explain to three children why their father did not come home. I had to be strong while everything inside me felt like it was falling apart. The nights have been long, filled with fear, uncertainty, and silent tears.

We are trusting God and doing everything within our reach, but this journey has been heavy. At this time, this fundraiser is dedicated to covering immigration attorney fees and the bond (bail) request, as well as other legal costs related to the case. These expenses are significant and must be paid urgently so we can fight legally for Victor to be able to go through this process in freedom and have the chance to return home while everything is being resolved.

Asking for help is not easy. Those who know me understand how hard I have always worked to care for my family with dignity. But I have also learned that in moments like this, allowing others to extend a helping hand is an act of humility and faith.

PT- Nunca imaginei que um dia precisaria escrever essas palavras, mas hoje venho com o coração aberto e em um momento de extrema vulnerabilidade pedir ajuda. Sou esposa, mãe de três crianças pequenas e, desde a última semana, minha família está vivendo um dos momentos mais difíceis das nossas vidas. Meu esposo, Victor, foi detido pelo ICE enquanto ainda estamos em processo legal de regularização. Fomos surpreendidos por uma situação que virou nossa vida de cabeça para baixo da noite para o dia. De repente, precisei explicar para três crianças por que o pai não voltou para casa. Precisei ser forte quando, por dentro, tudo parecia desmoronar. As noites têm sido longas, cheias de medo, incertezas e lágrimas silenciosas. Estamos confiando em Deus e fazendo tudo o que está ao nosso alcance, mas o caminho tem sido pesado.

Neste momento, esta arrecadação tem como objetivo custear as despesas com advogado de imigração e o pedido de fiança (bond), além de taxas legais relacionadas ao caso. Esses custos são altos e precisam ser pagos com urgência para que possamos lutar legalmente para que Victor responda ao processo em liberdade e tenha a chance de voltar para casa enquanto tudo é resolvido.

Não é fácil pedir ajuda. Quem me conhece sabe o quanto sempre lutei para cuidar da minha família com dignidade. Mas também aprendi que, em momentos assim, permitir que outros estendam a mão também é um ato de humildade e fé. Se você puder contribuir de qualquer forma — financeiramente, compartilhando esta campanha ou simplesmente nos mantendo em oração — saiba que estará ajudando não apenas um homem, mas uma família inteira que só deseja permanecer unida.
