Greetings friends, family, and kind-hearted, cat-loving strangers.
For those of you who don't know, my name is Haley and this story is about my beautiful blotched tabby Maine Coon kitten, Javier Hendrix.

My bff/roommate, Kathleen, and I adopted Javi about 6 months ago. Since then, he and his older brother, Hoogan Floof, have become absolutely inseparable.

Needless to say, Javi has become an important part of the family and we would spare no expense to keep him happy and healthy. That is why we are heartbroken to report that Javi is sick, and we need your help.
About 2 months ago, a small growth started forming on the left side of Javi's nose. Our vet assured us it was likely some sort of gnarly infection, one that could be cleared up with a round of antibiotics. Cut to a month later, the mass on his nose has continued growing at a rapid pace and begun to spread to his left eye.
Now, several veterinary specialist visits later, it appears that Javi might have something far more serious going on. In order to diagnose and treat his mysterious condition, a team of specialists will need to sedate poor, sweet Javi, biopsy the mass on his nose, and send out the tissue for further testing - all for the grand total of about $2,000. Given that the condition existed prior to our enrollment date, insurance will not cover any of Javi's diagnostic testing.
At this point, Kathleen and I have spent upwards of about $700 on various testing and medications. As many of you know, we are preparing to move up to Stanford in a couple weeks, and have limited funding left to help get Javi the treatment he so desperately needs.
That is why we have come to y'all for help. Javi is too young and too precious to be sick. Please consider donating to help return our beloved baby back to good health.
In addition to our undying gratitude, donations of $25-100 will receive:
- a personalized thank you card
- a printed photo of Javi and his brother
Donations over $100 will receive the aforementioned undying gratitude and:
- a personalized thank you card
- a printed photo of Javier and his brother
- a handmade, one of a kind watercolor painting of our two kitties
Javi thanks you in advance for all your generosity!
***Namaste***
