On Thursday night our 6 year old bully pup Bobby was rushed to the hospital after we noticed he was unable to jump up on our couches like normally, along with trying and not being able to pee all day. When he got there, they quickly noticed his prostate was extremely enlarged causing his discomfort and inability to get up on furniture. Next they set him up with a catheter and were able to relieve 5 liters of urine that had been stuck in him. After further tests they realized it was an infection in his bladder, which is causing the blockage making him unable to urinate on his own. 2 days later now, he is on his 4th catheter with the infection still not passing. Continuing to take these catheters in and out is damaging his urethra so the next step is going into surgery and removing the infection.
