UltraMarathonRace: Expose Business in Moçambique

Hi, My name is Camille. I am running a farming and agro processing project in Moçambique. I would like to explain to you the help that I need in order to partake in once in a lifetime race that hopefully also has a major impact on my business in Moçambique.

For those who don't know, I have been involved in a very long and arduous journey in Mozambique since 2017 that involves farming food, a school permaculture farm, cyclone assistance in 2019, and finally now starting my own business. My business is about processing primary products and adding value, vertically integrating them into the trade economy of Moz. Themes that are included in my work is value added products for economic development, community engagement in rural areas, women empowerment and technical innovation to drive demand in rural areas for greater agricultural prosperity. My passion is to process food products in moz to add shelf life and accessibility so that it can bridge the food security gap in the region. One such valuable food product is textured soya protein that is derived from the soya bean. As we all know Mozambique is one of the poorest countries in the world with complicated circumstances that make both creating a business and surviving there a massive task. I am on the brink of making a financial break through but it has cost me two very challenging years of almost losing everything I have there. Currently I am working very hard at finalizing my buisness model to get approval for financial help... this could still take a while... In the mean time, here is my website for more information:

A very rare opportunity came my way the other day, and I was offered to partake in an ultra marathon race situated on the East coast of Moçambique. This ultra takes form as a self supported race where individuals must carry their own necessities to eat, sleep, run, and stay energized for the 5 days of racing. For more info on the race:

The event organiser is particularly curious about my area as a tourism hotspot but also about the business I am building and therefore has offered me a deal.

The deal is that he will contribute to my entrance fee in exchange that I reveal the tourism possibilities in my province as well as advertise my business goals on the company's french based website. This comes at a pivotal time as I have so much experience and information to share about central moz and the work that I am doing there for some years now

There is no secret that this opportunity will only come around once. I need the finances to join and partake in this exchange with the organisers. The total entry fee is 2400 euros, but I will be subsidized 1800 euros.

I still need help. The entrance fee that I am left to pay is 600 euros. I will also need to invest in some technical race items, food and gear valued around 400 euros. To sum it all up , minimum 1000 euros will be needed for me to join the team and partake in this amazing challenge.

*update: I have increased the goal to 1500 euros, due to unforeseen expenses around gear, cost to travel and a tyre that needs upgrading etc. I would like to leave a donation too in the area of the race.

I have created this page to try and explain three opportunities here that are all equally valuable:

1) I have the opportunity to run a 5 day 220 km race down the coast of Mozambique, which is an absolute once in a lifetime dream for me. Please see attached link to get a sense of what is required and expected.

2) This race will allow me to engage with like minded people and promote my business on visible platforms to get better exposure of my goals and encourage financial support for my business to kick off.

3) Exposing my area of tourism possibilities and opportunities to bring much needed tourism into the area. This would hopefully link my province and the underlying beauty of the region to the tourism sector that can benefit small businesses, restaurants, lodges and greater economic activity.

Lastly, If there is any financial contributions left over, It will be donated to the village which the race is set to partake in. To be announced on this platform.
