We are Ulster Barbarians Wheelchair Rugby Club and each of our players is doing a 10k push around Victoria Park, Belfast 16th August to raise the funds needed to further our goal. Funds raised will be used to fund travel - to broaden horizons and to make connections.

Ulster Barbarians Wheelchair Rugby Club is a non-profit disabled sports club set up by the people who play the sport. We aim to attract other players, both male and female, who will not have to make the long journey we used to make to play the game that helped us live our lives to the fullest.

We aim to help the children who find it hard to be involved at school and who struggle to maintain the social interactions that others take for granted. We aim to show the possibilities of life to those who recently had the world they knew and loved torn away from them. Key to this is inclusion in success and active participation in building towards that success.

However, our sport is expensive. The equipment required is expensive and the transport of that equipment - as well as personnel transport - to games is expensive. We cannot play the sport without the equipment and, without travel, we lower the ceiling of life's possibilities. And this fundraiser is us aiming to address those challenges.
