Send kidnapped victim Ulises home

Donation protected

On Wednesday January 24, 2018 two men forced their way into the home of Ulises Valladares, bound him and his 12 year old son with duct tape then ransacked the house before kidnapping Ulises and leaving his son at home. Although the details are not clear as to exactly what happened the son freed himself and called the police who then called the FBI because it was a kidnapping. The story has been in the international news because the ending of this story is that he was shot and killed by the FBI while still bound in the duct  tape the kidnappers  placed on him. We don't know much more because the FBI isn't saying. What a tragic ending to the story of this humble and honorable man.

Ulises Valladares came to this country in 1990. My mom and I met him in Mexico and recognized him to be a smart and exceptional person. We helped him come to this country where he lived with us for about 10 years. He was a hard working person from the beginning. He rode a bicycle 3 miles each way to go to his job as a landscaper. After several years of this and studying English he saved up for a car and got a different job in which he was noticed and promoted for his hard work and strong work ethics. He developed a specific set of skills that sent him to work in various countries in Europe. Along the way he married, bought a house, and had a son. His son was his life. He eventually left his job because it required him to be gone too much and he wanted to be there to raise him. He was a great father  and wonderful example to his son.  Always seeking to better himself he was currently taking classes to be an engineer and to improve his English.  He was not into drugs and drinking. He lived a clean life.

His family lives in Honduras and they want to send him home to be buried. I am setting up this page on behalf of the family who speaks little English. Our goal is to get him home to his family so he can be laid to rest. I would also hope to be able to fly his son to Honduras to be there for the service and visit his grandparents. The body has not been released but we want to be prepared to move when it is which I would hope would be soon so we are seeking immediate donations.

At this point the future of his son is unsure. Without doubt had Ulises lived there would be money for college since education was so important to him, so if any funds over the needed amount were given a trust would be set up for him.
