The United Lutheran Church of Long Island 2026 Guatemala Mission Team is made up of members from ULC and Christ Lutheran Church (a neighboring sister church).

We will be traveling to Guatemala to work with a church and local community in Amatitlan that we worked with 11 years ago on a previous trip. While there, we will work on construction projects, lead vacation Bible school for the children, run medical clinics (and educate community members on how to run future clinics with resources and supplies we will leave with them), and go on home visits in the community to deliver much-needed food staples, water filters, and hope.

Hope for communities that are in need of basic necessities that you and I take for granted... Hope for children that may have never had the opportunity to learn the way we have... Hope for new beginnings and a better life.

Funds raised through this page will go directly towards materials for construction, supplies to teach and play games with the children, basic food staples (rice, beans, sugar, oil, etc.) to deliver to the community, water filters, medical supplies to help with blood pressure screening clinics, and to help with airfare for the team.

Every donation counts and will make a huge impact on a community in need.

Every team member volunteers locally in food banks or community activities in some way, and has chosen to go on this trip to help internationally as well as learn about another culture's customs and traditions.

While we will go with open hearts and willing hands to do God's work to change others' lives, we're pretty sure that our hearts will be changed by the beautiful people of Guatemala and open our eyes to things that are bigger than what we see in our own communities.
