On May 10, Mother’s Day, my baby brother Michael was involved in a horrific accident that killed two of his friends. The car he was riding in crashed and burst into flames. Michael was able to escape the burning car but suffered severe injuries. He has 2nd and 3rd degree burns on over 70% of his body. He is currently being treated in a Lubbock burn hospital for the injuries that he suffered to his face, chest, arms, hands, legs and lower back. He will have to go through multiple surgeries and painful physical therapy.

I created this fund for Michael and my parents to help offset expenses that will be incurred during his 2 months plus stay at the hospital. My parents will need to spend time with Michael in Lubbock and will have to take time off of work. Funds raised will go towards gas, food, lodging and any other medical expenses that may not be covered by insurance. We expect his recovery to be a long and difficult one but I want to let him know that he is not alone. We are here for him and we love him very much.
