Covers Timber Merchants and UKtoUkraine Appeal

UKtoUkraine raised in excess of £100,000 for this project which included the three grab lorries donated by COVERS.

Thanks to the amazing support from you the British Public and of course Covers, our friends and family. Our thanks must surely go the Stay Safe UA team who implement the funds raised to support the ongoing suffering of the people of Ukraine. The Stay Safe team need our vital support, they are making the impossible possible by going to places no one in their right mind would go to. We support them because we know they do the best job they possibly can in the most difficult circumstances.

Story

Way back in May 22, UKtoUkraine received and email from Covers, the Timber and Builders Merchants who were offering us three Mercedes rigid crane lorries. What an amazing donation for us to give to our partners in Ukraine. Now the work really had to start, we had to get these trucks full and then find drivers to do the long journey into Ukraine and hand over the three trucks to our Partners Stay Safe UA. So many people were involved in this project, the Covers team were instrumental in raising funds to fill the trucks and also donating a fork lift truck.

So many things went on these trucks, from Containers to rescue Vehicle, a bob cat to help clear the houses in Kherson, medical supplies were bought, fridges were donated at 30 on board, and general essential supplies to help support the victims of the war on the front line. We are incredibly grateful for to everyone who made this project possible, it was by far the biggest one we did.

WHEN IN UKRAINE

These trucks will play a crucial role in our mission to supply vital aid to the frontline in Ukraine. They will be converted into a mobile shower unit, a mobile bakery, and for transporting essential supplies from Lviv to Bakhmut, wherever the need is greatest!

However, we need your help to make a significant impact. While the trucks are currently in the UK, we require funds to transport them to Ukraine and equip them for their intended use.
