On Thursday 13 November 2025, our world tilted on it's axis when we were told of the sudden passing of our loved one, Daniel Leadbeater.

Daniel had been experiencing respiratory issues and had recently been diagnosed with emphysema. We knew it was making life harder for him, but none of us expected it would take him so soon. He was only 52.

Our family is heartbroken. His loss has come as a shock to everyone, and it has been an especially difficult time for Tracy, who is grieving the loss of her little brother, and for Kyren and Max, who are grieving the loss of their dad; a loss that none of them should have had to experience so soon.

Daniel was funny in a naturally effortless way. He was kind, steady, and a genuinely good-hearted man. There wasn’t an aggressive bone in his body, and he was the sort of person who showed up when needed and stayed until things settled. He loved a good time, was an avid lawn bowler, and backed the Parramatta Eels with loyal enthusiasm, even in their rough seasons.

Losing him so suddenly has left us without time to prepare, emotionally or financially. We want to give him a respectful farewell, something simple but meaningful, something that reflects the man he was and how much he meant to us. Unfortunately, the cost of a funeral is more than we can manage on our own right now.

Daniel's Funeral will be held on Monday 8 December at Manning Great Lakes Memorial Garden, Pampoolah, 11am.
