Hey there, this is Shay and Anna Kornfeld. About 6 months ago, my wife (Anna) recieved a troubling message from her elementary schoolyard friend who asked for help. They grew up together in Ukraine, and now the friend has said they simply can not take it there anymore. Her two little daughters (3 and 6) had been suffering from trauma and anxiety from all the explosions and air-raid sirens. They wanted out and we offered to sponsor them. At the end of the school year they moved in with us. We took them to social security and got them a 2 year work visa, and now are in the proccess of finding them a car and a rental unit. They came to America with 3 suitcases, a little cash in their pocket, and the American dream ahead of them. Did I mention they are the sweetest family to host. They have been nothing but respectful, eager, and helpful.

Soon after they came we posted on Nextdoor, and within hours recieved some scooters and a stroller, they also mentioned we shoudl make a gofundme account for them so here we are. Our community has been incredible!

We are askign donations for them to help buy a car and set up rent for their family. Anything at all will go along way.
