War in Ukraine.

The family in the photo is my wife’s sister's family; they live in Kyiv.
Early in the morning, they were woken by loud explosions. Their apartment is not far from a small local airport. What was happening was shocking - rockets raining down in the distance. At that moment, they understood the war had begun. They were able to grab a few belongings and jump into their car to leave Kyiv. Slowly moving out of the city among thousands of others and through heavy traffic toward an unknown, bleak and sad future. As they drove through the night, they hoped to make it to Poland. They finally made it to a small city in the western part of Ukraine, Lviv. In Lviv, they had to abandon their car and catch a ride in an attempt to get as close to the border as possible. The final 12 kilometers to the border would be done on foot through the cold Ukrainian night.
At the border, the family was forced to split. Diliara and the daughters had to say goodbye in one quick moment. Aleksey was forced to remain in Ukraine. The women are now refugees in Poland! Aleksey remained in Ukraine. What follows next is out of our control. This family, among many others, lost their home their jobs, and many will sacrifice everything.
We are asking for prayers and any donations to help this particular family to rebuild their lives from scratch.

Please share.

Thank you
