Ukrainian Refugees in Poland Aid Fund

Friends and family in our network in Poland are supporting Ukrainian families fleeing war.

 

Ms. Iwona is one of them. 

 

 

 

She has opened her home- a former tomato farm about an hour outside of Krakow - to two different families from Ukraine. The first family comes from Kyiv, a great-grandmother, grandmother, mother, and 15-month old baby. The second family arrived a few days later. A lovely group of two mothers and two teenagers, they hail from the port city of Odessa. Each group brought a sweet dog with them as well.

 

 

 

 

We've already raised over $5,000 in Venmo contributions. Donations have allowed Ms. Iwona to buy new mattresses, clothes, and pillows for her guests.

 

But we are looking at long-term support - not just for Ms. Iwona and her families but for other Poles in our network who are supporting or looking to support refugees. Funds raised here will cover the cost of supplies like clothing, food, cookware, toiletries, diapers, books, school supplies, etc.

***Kindly note that funds will be transferred into a new US checking account dedicated to this fund managed by our team member Joanna Kuczek (hence, she is noted as the beneficiary here) and then wired to Ms. Iwona and other contacts in Poland.

***For the sake of transparency, we will regularly post updates about the people supporting Ukrainian families here, and keep you in the loop about their specific needs. We will not post any information about or pictures of the refugees unless they have given us their explicit consent.
