Ukrainian refugee from Russian Agression

Hi, My name is Mariia Luzina, I am 27 years old Ukrainian woman. When the war started I was in Kyiv, then fled to be with my grandparents in Kryvyj Rih. Around the 14th of May (my memory of the first 3-5 months after the war started is blurry, forgive me), my city in Ukraine was bombed and I could no longer stay so I alone fled to the Netherlands through Poland. In these hard times, I met a lot of kind people to whom I own forever, and with whose help I was able to be safe and have a roof over my head and food to eat. I am currently allocated to a place offered by one of the cities in the Netherlands for the refugees for which I am extremely grateful, studying the Dutch language, culture, rules and trying to continue working as a children's books illustrator while spending time with other refuges, monitoring the news regarding Ukraine and checking on my grandparents who stayed there.

I feel uncomfortable setting this page because there are so many people who deserve the help more than I do, but some people asked me to create a gofundme to help, so. I am not sure about what to set and what to do.

This gofundme is personal.

I only hope there will be peace in Ukraine and in the whole world again. What is happening since the 24th of February still feels like a horror movie.

I am trying to stay positive, because even though the was showed how cruel people are, it also showed how many kind people there are too.
