Ukrainian Refugee Family in Norway w 3 children

Hi, I'm Sean Turi and I am an American currently living in Hønefoss, Norway (about an hour outside of Oslo). Recently a number of Ukrainian refugees have been relocated to our community. We have befriended one of the families during a donation drop off at their camp.

 

The Mother, Zhanna (cover photo) drove herself and three children alone out of Kyiv amidst the bombing and gunfire to Poland where she was able to unite with her husband, Denys. She speaks English very well which has subsequently promoted her in their refugee camp to speak on behalf of the Ukrainians of the substandard living conditions at the Norwegian refugee camp. Zhanna was recently featured in a Norwegian newspaper regarding their poor living conditions.

 

They have an 8 month old toddler, 3 year boy who just celebrated his birthday in the refugee camp and a glowing 11 year old daughter. The kids are happy and this is a tribute to Zhanna and her husband Denys.

 

Funds will be invested towards necessities, toys, books, learning items for the kids. We would like to surprise them with a trip to Norefjell Spa if funds allow. The goal is to help bring some normalcy and relief in the midst of a traumatic time in their lives.

 

They have not asked for help, however, showing love, support and offering help is what they deserve.
