Russia's invasion of Ukraine is directly impacting the Verticurl family. Much of Roman Ogarok's family and extended family & friends network are still in Kyiv, Ukraine and surrounding areas.
While there are options to provide financial support to Ukraine through WPP, we wanted to establish a separate fund to provide direct, immediate support through Roman to people who need help now
Roman is in daily contact with his network in Ukraine and can help with the complicated distribution of financial resources to people in the country. They need help with:
- Transportation costs for evacuation; in some cases, Roman's team is driving their personal vehicles from Western Ukraine (Lvov) to Kyiv for evacuation 1-2 families at a time
- Support outside of Kyiv where the UHN and other support systems don't currently cover, Roman's team is driving to these locations to provide support to families in need
- Food and household items as the refugee challenges in Poland and neighboring countries increase
- Private medical assistance for emergencies (e.g. medicines such as insulin)
Support is not mandatory but always appreciated
Any unused funds will go to the Verticurl Relief Fund and distributions managed by our finance team (Joelle)
