My name is Hanna Teslia . I am an ordinary Ukrainian person, a specialist in IT and logistics. I am not connected to any military activities and am completely impartial. Due to the fact that many of my friends and acquaintances are on the front line, both as soldiers and as medics, I have a pressing need for fundraising for medical purposes, as thousands of people, both civilians and military, are becoming victims of Russian aggression in Ukraine. Thus, I came up with the civic initiative Ukrainian Life Saver(ULS) . While I am in the process of registration and building momentum on social media, I already have an urgent goal: my friend was caught in a terrible airstrike.
I have no financial interest in this volunteer work. My sole purpose is to help save the lives of my fellow citizens, as war, in all its forms, is a terrible thing. I am launching this urgent fundraising campaign for post-surgery rehabilitation and recovery for my friend, Valerii Malevin , soldier from the 111th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who sustained serious injuries while performing a combat mission. His vehicle was hit by an aviation bomb, resulting in significant damage to his head and jaw, injuries to his arms and legs, and several fingers were severed.
He survived, and the doctors say he will be able to walk again. He is currently undergoing a series of planned operations, including complex jaw reconstruction.
We are with his family raising funds for post-surgery medical rehabilitation, which is not covered by the state.
Official medical diagnosis (at the time of admission to the hospital – 10.04.2025):
- Severe combined mechanical trauma (likely due to explosion or heavy impact)
- Open shrapnel (combined) wound of the face
- Open fracture of the lower jaw with displacement and open wound
- Multiple open combined injuries of the upper limbs
- Fractures of the distal phalanges of the 5th and 4th fingers of the left hand and the 3rd finger of the right hand
- Multiple open combined injuries of the lower limbs
- Severe traumatic brain injury
- Deep open wound above the right eyebrow
- Periorbital hematoma — severe swelling and bruising around the eye, likely due to impact.
