SUPPORT UKRAINIAN FAMILIES THIS WINTER
Donation protected
Hi, we're Shane and Agnes Burrell.
In August 2022, we had the chance to visit Ukraine and help document volunteers from Australia helping build essential accommodations for locals in the Kyiv area who lost their homes and livelihoods.
We will be travelling back into the area in November. Our plan is to fill the car and an additional van with as many winter supplies as possible and deliver them into the hands of the families and orphans. They are facing another bitter winter.
Amongst the most needed items we are going to purchase with raised funds are:
- Heaters
- First aid and basic medication
- Sleeping bags
- Winter clothes
- Food parcels with essential products
Please consider sharing a few words of support. The power of your words is greater than you can imagine. It lifts the spirits, warms the hearts, and gives much-needed hope.
Aid delivery directly to:
Families of Moschun - a local village that along with Bucha took the brunt of the 2022 invasion of Kyiv. We have direct access through the local aid organisation and families we have also remained in contact with and are documenting the journey of.
Hospice and Orphanage near Ternopil - an incredible family-run place of hope, where generations are brought together to help and support each other. The hospice needed to be relocated twice since the beginning of the war and is currently operating from a 3 story abandoned farm building with no facilities.
Street Kitchen - While working out of Kyiv, we had the chance to meet an incredible Pastor who was a champion bodybuilder for Ukraine. Now running a church in a gym, he has a huge heart for the people and a story to match. Serving the people in and around the affected villages of Borodyanka - his hometown. We hope to get more supplies into their hands to share with those in need.
We will be delivering these basic supplies directly with the help of the local Ukrainian support network we have connected with in August 2022. We have access to a large van operated by the local Youth With a Mission team in Ternopil (you may remember the fundraiser for this van last year) to help us deliver and distribute the goods.
Updates will be made at every milestone and we hope to share as much of the journey and messages back from the Ukrainians as possible.
