Ukraine Van Dash

Hi, my name is Mick and along with my  friend Richard, we are raising this money to try and help the refugees in Ukraine. We don't need to list the reasons why, they're pretty straightforward as we all know by now.

We have been growing increasingly frustrated, saddened and upset by what we've been watching and listening to and have just got to try and do something to help.

Pretty much all we can do at this point is to try and get desperately needed items to the people that need it right now by driving a van across to the Ukranian border. To do this we need to hire a van which itself will cost £700. Those that know me know I have a couple of vans, but they are not up to the job and are not economical enough. If I hadn't had a couple of bad years trading (event food caterer), then I'd pay myself, but sadly I just don't have the money. I'm I'm going to let that stop me though and so we are asking for your help.

We have identified a scheme in Congleton through a friend that we can partner with - www.caminomike.com. They have van loads of stuff waiting to go, but the main issue they have is that it costs £2000 per trip and people are struggling to raise the cash. It is actually looking like we can collect our own stuff and top it up with items from Congleton if necessary.

So we are unashamedly asking for your money! Any money raised will go towards hiring the van, fuel expenses, accommodation, any ferry/travel tickets and we will of course give full transparency of how all of the money is spent with receipts etc. Any monies left over will go towards a next run.

It needs to happen now, these poor people need us and our help now! It cannot be stressed what a truly horrific and scary situation these poor people are in as we speak, whilst we are sitting in our comfortable little houses in the UK
