SDAs in Western Ukraine Assisting Refugees
Donation protected
When our team said good bye to Ukraine in 2019 little did we know of the tragedy and pain that this nation will be immersed in just two years later. These people, whose love, hospitality, and generosity have no measure have done nothing to deserve what is happening there . But despite the dark times they continue serving their community today.
Adventists in Western Ukraine have welcomed refugees in large numbers and are providing shelter, food and resources needed during this critical time. God has provided thus far, and I have been overwhelmed to hear the stories of self-sacrifice of the people on the ground to assist others. These people, some of whom I know personally, will take the last shirt off their backs to help each other. We are needed to step in and help!
All funds received will be sent to the pastors in the area personally known to me and directly involved in the assistance of the refugee effort in western Ukraine (Bukovina). These are the individuals on the ground, who are overseeing operations as well as personally housing and providing for the needs of the displaced families. This funding is for a small humanitarian effort separate from church and corporate funding, to provide rapid daily resources to the frontline church workers. I am sending the first personal $500 transfer to Ukraine today.
The use of funds will be reported and shared here.
