Direct Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine
Donation protected
Olga Fedchenko is a proud Ukrainian and a trusted source from Kharkiv, a city that has now been almost completely destroyed by the Russian invasion. Although she had the opportunity to get out of Ukraine, she has elected to stay behind to deliver aid to those who cannot get out, such as the sick, elderly, disabled and women with young children.
Chris & Wes Adamson and Nate Wolf are raising money to send to Olga, who we know through the Cincinnati-Kharkiv sister city program. Through this program, we've been able to visit Ukraine, a trip that Olga's family organized! Olga has also been able to visit the US and stay in our homes! If you've had the fortune to meet Olga, you know that this is an amazing person that will do incredible things with our donations.
In her own words:
"Hi, my name is Olga Fedchenko. I am from Kharkiv, Ukraine I have graduated american program “Open World”. I’ve been friends for 10 yers with city community “Kharkiv-Cincinnati”. We did implement interesting projects in cooperation with professor at the academy of public administration Vladymir Bulba. For an instance, student's experience exchange programs between Ukraine and the USA, settled up friendly contacts between mayors of small towns of Ukraine and Cincinnati. Also me and my husband Sergey Fedchenko organised participation of athletes from Ukraine and USA in international marathons. But today the situation has changed dramatically. There is a real war in our country. Kharkiv is 40 km away from border of Russia and the situation inside the city and it's inhabitants is tragic. Civilian people are dying, residential areas and communications destroyed. There are lack of food and medicines. Women with children, the elderly, disabled people and those who are sick are particularly affected. In such conditions, our team is engaged in targeted help to all who struggle from war: purchase of medicines, hygiene products, convenience food and further distribution to those in need. We form a network of trusted people in settlements of Kharkiv region. These authoritative people investigate the needs, form orders and are responsible for the transfer of humanitarian aid to people in need. Among our volunteers there are many activists from the city community "Kharkov-Cincinnati". I know, that our american friends are looking for ways to help the residence of our city. We will be able to organize such support through our network. Our friendship will grow stronger. We will provide information on the results of our work.
Sincerely yours Olga Fedchenko PR manager of Theodoros boxing club by Sergey Fedchenko."
Please help get money straight to where it is needed most, where it will be used effectively right away! I will be withdrawing funds from the fundraiser every 2-3 days and sending them to Olga via PayPal. I will post updates from Olga whenever she shares them! Thank you so much for your help everyone!
