Ukraine: It's not over till it’s over . . .

Hi I’m Brenda, and like you, I’m involved in supporting Ukraine.
I spent 6 weeks there in June/July 2023, and I can honestly say, it was one of the best things I’ve done in my life.

I’ve met thousands of the strong women of Ukraine, running transport, farming to feed the country, involved in schools, orphanages, and IDP shelters.
They help run the hospitals, they nurse, they also fight. In the absence of their men, they turn their hands to everything, and the country is in volunteer overdrive, so keen are they to support each other.

I’ve also met hundreds of fallen soldiers in the hospitals, their bodies mangled, their minds too often traumatised by what they have been through.
I want to support such amazing, kind, determined people, and with your help, we can.
We all get compassion fatigue, but it’s never been more important to continue supporting the troops fighting in Ukraine, because if they are not there to combat Russian aggression, it’s game over.
They need medical aid, they need drones., they need communication channels. Perhaps most importantly, they also need your emotional support, which is made visible through your generosity.

Today we have sent out our 14th 44 tonne lorry, going to the 36 Marine Brigade in the E of the country, filled with food, Christmas treat boxes, drones, medical aid, and clothing. With your help we can continue to do this.
We work in partnership with ‘Prosperity’ in Twickenham, and use their logistics chain to reach their distribution hubs throughout Ukraine.
To send a lorry: £3,000
1 Chest seal: £14.50 approx.
1 Burn Gel Dressings: £10.00 approx.
1 Cat Tourniquet: £28.00 approx
1 Drone: £3,500.00 approx

Our contact in 36 Marine Brigade Ukraine informs us of the changing needs of his men and local hospitals, we try to respond to that need.

On 1 Dec 2023, humanitarian aid import law in Ukraine changes.
Every Donor centre will have to fill out a list of specific contents being sent. The recipient hub will then have to register acceptance of every item. The end user recipient will also then have to complete a received file.
This means that there is a digital logistics trail from start to end, verified by the UA government. Which also means that there is continuous transparency. As and when I buy aid, I will post receipts here to maintain your confidence. I hope that you find this reassuring.
Thank you so so much for your support. xx
