Hi we are Adam Pamment and Karina Bowen.
On 19 November we will be driving from Somerset to this center with the car loaded full of cat and dog food and when we get there we are going to donate our car to the centre as well.
Established in 2000 on the site of an abandoned cowshed, the shelter is currently home to more than 700 animals. Until 2021 the shelter was under the Kyiv Society of Animals Protection and now is functioning as a legally independent organization - Gostomel Animal Shelter. The animal shelter in Gostomel had been in the epicenter of hostilities for 5 weeks.
We are looking for donations to assist us with fuel and modest accommodation costs on the way there and assistance to be the train and flight back to the UK after we have dropped the car and the relief at the center.
We have been lucky enough to have people be very generous in donating dog and cat food, it's just the cost of getting that there we are looking for help with.
