Hi, this page is set up by Colin Summers and Richard Walden in partnership with Bidwells, to support the Ukraine Mighty Convoy project.

We are raising funds to buy and drive an ambulance, or pick-up truck, to Ukraine. To do this we need to raise a minimum of £7,000 to pay for the vehicle, fuel, insurance and passage. Every additional £3,500 raised will pay for a lorry to transport further vital medical aid.

Departing on 11th September 2025, Colin and I will be taking it in shifts driving through the night across 1,200 miles aiming to reach Lviv, Ukraine in approximately 24 hours. We will return to England by plane from Poland the next day, with return flights paid at our own cost.

Mighty Convoy is a not-for-profit charitable organisation started in 2022 by 4 friends. Its aim is to raise funds for the purchase and delivery of second-hand ambulances packed with medical supplies, delivering them to Ukraine. Mighty Convoy has no paid staff. Everyone involved is a volunteer, including all drivers, who not only volunteer their time but also pay for their own expenses and flights home.

So far, Mighty Convoy has made 15 convoys to Ukraine, and donated 65 Ambulances and Pick Up Trucks, plus lots of aid.

To deliver and distribute this aid effectively, Mighty Convoy has partnered with the ICMDA in the UK (RCN 1188743), and CMAU in Lviv, Ukraine (RCN 44855996), which is where we will be delivering the ambulances.
