On January 23, 2016 our friend and former colleague Gary Guzik died after a long illness at the age of 58. Gary had been an Amherst Police Officer for 28 years and retired in 2007.
Gary was a friend to many and always had a good word to say. Gary was always there when someone needed him and would always offer anything he could.
Gary leaves his devoted wife, Jennifer, and their three wonderful children, Owen, Shelby and Hayden. As well as two adult daughters.
Recently, Gary was unable to work because of his ailments. This has put a great financial strain on his wife.
His friends at the Amherst Police Department have started this campaign to raise money for the Guzik family in support of his wife and three young children. We hope that this campaign will help the Guzik family as they struggle through this very difficult time of loss.
