Help Haley Walk Again!
Donation protected
My niece Haley suffered a Spinal Stroke this past July leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. Haley is 15 years old and while her life has changed drastically she still keeps a smile on her face. She has been working very hard in therapy to regain movement so she can walk again. Haley was admitted to Health South, Morgantown, WV immediatly after leaving the hospital in July. She remained there for 100 days and was released because her insurance ran out. She began getting outpatient therapy and also getting home schooled. Haley has been accepted into Kennedy Krieger's Spine Institute, Baltimore, MD for inpatient treatment. There will be out of pocket costs for this and also costs involved for travel so she can have family with her. Haley has made progress since the stroke but still can't move her legs. Any money donated will be used to help with her therapy and any equipment/services she might need at home. Our family has been touched by the many people who sent Haley cards and care packages while she was in Health South. All of this has helped keep her spirits up and motivate her to work hard. Any assistance would be a blessing to help her get the intensive therapy she needs to walk again. She is Haley Strong!
