In early December 2025, Alexis and Chris were living life as normal—focused on work, family, and their dream of starting a family—when a simple fall changed everything.
While helping others, as she so often does, Alexis slipped and fell. What initially seemed like an accident quickly became something much more serious. She suffered compression fractures in her back and was hospitalized for a procedure to stabilize the fractures. During that procedure, doctors discovered several lesions on her spine. Biopsies were taken, and the results were shocking: the cells appeared consistent with breast cancer.
Alexis had never been diagnosed with cancer before. She was a healthy woman in her early 30s, in the middle of fertility treatments, IVF medications, and countless doctor appointments as she and Chris worked tirelessly to start their family.
After extensive testing, Alexis received a devastating diagnosis: Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that has spread to her bones.
She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and has completed 1 of 5 treatments so far. The road ahead is uncertain. Doctors do not yet know how her body will respond to treatment or whether she will be able to continue working while managing chemotherapy, recovery from her fractures, and ongoing medical care.
Between fertility treatments, time away from work due to her injuries, and now the physical, emotional, and financial toll of cancer treatment, the burden on the Marcoux family has become overwhelming.
We are asking for support to help ease that burden—whether it goes toward medical bills, living expenses, travel to appointments, or simply giving Alexis and Chris the ability to focus on healing without constant financial stress.
Any donation, share, or message of support means more than words can express. Thank you for helping stand beside the Marcoux family during this incredibly difficult time.
