Anyone that knows my dad, knows that he would give you the shirt off of his own back. In the past couple of years I have seen my amazing father physically deteriorate but continue to push for others. He has finally been given the opportunity to heal himself with a very serious back surgery on June 1st. What is making this decision so hard to make is the financial obligations, due to his insurance not covering any of the costs. His surgeon believes that this is necessary for him to be able to walk again. His recovery of the surgery will be 8-10 weeks of no activity, under home care. With my father being self employed and not being able to walk since the end of last year, financially it makes this entire process very hard to accomplish. My sisters and I are trying to do everything in our power to raise funds to make this possible. With him being only 55, I couldnt imagine not trying my best to make this happen for him.
