UKDT fundraise

The Peru Reconstruction Government to Government programme is a major infrastructure programme consisting of 70+ schools, 15 hospitals and 20+ river basin, gully, and drainage projects nationwide. The UKDT is a JV partnership consisting of 3 partner companies who support our client the Autoridad Nacional de Infraestructura (ANIN) to deliver technical assistance in relation to the provision of schools, medical facilities and flood resilience programmes. This major infrastructure programme is critical for Peru’s economic recovery from the damage caused by El Niño.

The UKDT are passionate about engaging with the local communities here in Peru and we have teamed up with Legado, the Peruvian Rugby Federation and the British Embassy to be able to put on an event at the Villa Maria del Triunfo Rugby Stadium to allow children from the ages of 6 – 16 years old from the surrounding community to participate in a practice event on the 16th March followed by an opportunity to be able to watch the Peruvian national team play a demonstration match.

Our plan is to raise at least $5000 which the UKDT will match and donate to the cause. All money raised will be used to fund the "ollas comunes" around Villa Maria del Triunfo, providing them with much-needed food, supporting Quest Overseas School and finally, to help the children of the community to play their favourite regularly throughout the year.
