Ukazoo Books - Local Indie Bookstore needs help

I had hoped to get Ukazoo Books back open already and try and avoid this, but now Ukazoo needs your help.  Due to Covid-19 and the fact that we are closed to the public, we are running out of cash to pay our rent, liabilities, wholesalers, and make sure we to have enough cash on-hand to re-open once we are allowed. We have kept some online sales going to keep up with utilities, but it’s not enough for the length of time we have been closed.

The loans that we have applied for are currently are either not approved yet or still unfunded. After being closed for 30 days we are looking at trouble. We are working on a deal with our landlord to not pay full rent for the time we are closed, but other bills are past due and coming due. Funds raised with go for rent, small vendors we are unable to pay, keeping our website up, and replenish some inventory. We will need your help to weather the next few months.

As you can see, we don’t need a lot, and we will also need some books donations when we can reopen, but we really want to stay around as the Towson & Parkville’s Independent bookstore.  Your support in this is vital. Asking for help is hard for me, but if you can, please help. I have faith we can remain this areas local, independent, Used and New Bookstore.
