I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart, hoping you can find it within yourself to support my younger brother, Andy, during the most difficult time of his life. As someone who used to believe these kinds of fundraisers were rarely genuine, it feels surreal to be in this position. But this is real—Andy, a devoted father of three, is now in the fight of his life. Over a decade ago, he learned that he was born with only one kidney. After suffering a mild heart attack at just 30 years old, the medications that saved his heart unfortunately began to destroy his only kidney. Then, as if that weren’t enough, two years ago he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma—a devastating blood cancer. Recently, Andy underwent a bone marrow transplant. We are all praying his body accepts it, giving him a chance at some form of normalcy again. He hasn't been able to work for the past couple of years as he’s battled constant treatments, dialysis, and the debilitating effects of his illness. We’re putting all our hope into this transplant. If successful, and once the cancer is under control, Andy can finally be placed on the national kidney donor list—a critical step toward long-term recovery.
