We are family and friends of Angie Staltaro, reaching out on behalf of a woman who has spent her entire life serving others. Angie has been diagnosed with cancer, a battle that has brought unimaginable physical, emotional, and financial challenges.

Before her illness, Angie was a devoted City of Bridgeport community worker- someone who always showed up for anyone in need. Helping others wasn’t just her job; it was her calling. A woman of deep Catholic faith, she supported her church community and lovingly cared for her older sister until her passing in 2021. Anyone who knows Angie can tell you about her kindness, her generosity, and her unwavering dedication to those around her.

Since becoming ill, Angie spent long stretches in the hospital and nursing facility.During her stay at St Vincent’s Hospital, her brand new iPhone was stolen after 2 days, bought to FaceTime family members. Despite repeated attempts to get reimbursed by the hospital, it was never done. She now faces significant home renovations before she can safely return home.

For the past eight months, Angie has been living with her niece, who has been by her side every single day this journey. Angie has no additional income to rely on. She urgently needs several essentials and uncovered services in order to live safely and comfortably at home.

Angie has spent her life lifting others up- without regard for background, race, gender, or circumstance. Now, we are humbly asking for help on her behalf. Our greatest hope is to ease her burden, support her healing, and ultimately help her return to the home and the life she loves.
