LEUKAEMIA ..... Our Story

In October, 2023 a bolt out the blue was thrown at us. My wife Jacqui, mom to Reece, Charly, Lili-mae, Harry-Beau & Beau-Blu was diagnosed with Phillidelphia ALL Leukaemia. She spent the first 6 months in hospital then in and out over the last year still receiving chemotherapy treatment everyday. During this period she has also battled through a blood clot in the brain, a PE blood in her lung which has taken half of one of her lungs, PCP pneumonia, Sepsis and First Degree Respiratory failure amongst other infections.

If shes lucky she will still continue on her Maintenance journey for another 13 months.

During this time both Laurel 3 at Worcester Hospital and Help Harry Help Others have been absolutely amazing. To be blunt Laurel 3 Doctors, Nurses and HCAs have kept my wife alive. HHHO have supported myself and all our children through this extremely difficult time.

Too show some appreciation myself and some of our amazing team at C&C Flooring along with our great friend Robert are doing the 3 Peak Challenge within 36 hours. This includes Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

As you can imagine this isn't for the faint hearted and some of us are carrying a good few extra pounds so this journey is going to be somewhat challenging. To put it simply its like running a full marathon over 3 mountains.

Here is abit about why we are raising money.

1. Help Harry Help Others

This simply amazing stand alone charity reply purely on donation as they get zero government funding, they provide crucial support and advice including counselling people with cancer and also their charities. We personally have used the services of Georgina Moseley and her team, and recommend their services enough, simply amazing.

2. Laurel 3 Cancer ward at Worcester Hospital, we’re raising money for the ward to make the ward a more “home from home” environment and make it not so clinical as a lot of the patients on the ward are there for many months.

Were aware that things are really tough out there, but if you all could kindly spare some money to donate, ourselves and both causes we’re raising for would appreciate every single penny.
