Support UK Women’s March: Fighting for Equality, Justice, and Reproductive Rights Worldwide

Hi, we’re raising funds to support the UK Women’s March on 18 January 2025, a nationwide effort to stand in solidarity with women and girls around the world. This march isn’t just about walking together; it’s about amplifying voices, taking a stand, and making change.

This march addresses critical issues, including:

• Rising violence against women: Calling for systemic change as violence against women continues to escalate and is declared a national emergency.
• Reproductive Rights: Increasing discourse around abortion limits, fuelled by right-wing politicians, has sparked fears of rollbacks on reproductive freedoms.
• Gender Apartheid: Shining a light on the systemic oppression of women in several countries.
• Trans Rights: Confronting the rising violence against trans women and girls globally and standing united in support of their rights and safety.

We will be marching in 22 cities nationwide.

Why We’re Raising Funds

This is a centrally organised fundraiser to ensure that our city lead organisers across the UK have the resources they need to make their marches safe, impactful, and inclusive.

Many of our city organisers are running their own fundraisers, but below is a list of items which they may need assistance with:

• Water for marchers.
• Hi-vis vests for volunteers.
• The possible need for portable toilets, including accessible options.
• Sound systems for speeches and chants.
• Banners, signs, and materials for creative displays.
• Marshals’ radios for effective communication.
• Public Liability Insurance
• The possible need for waste management services to ensure cleanliness and sustainability.
• Transport for delivering supplies to key locations.
• Accessibility aids, such as ramps and interpreters.

Funds raised here will be distributed to local leads where gaps exist, ensuring that no city is left behind. This collective approach ensures every marcher feels safe and supported.

How Your Donation Will Be Used

• Purchasing items that local organisers can’t fully fund, such as items mentioned above.
• Covering unforeseen expenses to ensure the march runs smoothly.

Any surplus funds from this central fundraiser will be donated to women’s organisations chosen by the national coordinators of the Women’s March.
