UK National Three Peaks challenge

Welcome to the SFC's third big fundraiser!!

Surrey Fitness Hiking Club members previously climbed Snowdon Mountain (on 1st May 2022), raising funds that were donated to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital, to

purchase adult and fetal monitors, and to livelihood projects including: setting up local grocery shops, flour grinding mills, water pumps, fencing for agriculture, and fishing nets.

Our members climbed Ben Nevis on the 27th August 2023, raising funds for educational grants and livelihood projects. These last two attempts have been life changing for our beneficiaries on the ground, and we are excited to launch our third large fundraiser since our founding.

We have enjoyed incredible success over the years, with an increase in demand particularly around our livelihood support, and education schemes. This year we aim to build on that success, raising funds that will directly help children back home to fulfil their dreams of educational excellence, as well as a host of other worthy homeland projects.

10 volunteers will be taking on the UK national three peaks challenge, conquering three difficult peaks within 36 hours. They will aim to climb Ben Nevis, Scaffel Pike and Snowdon, on the 20th and 21st of July 2024. It will test their endurance, their grit, and their fitness, but they aim to have fun on the way, deepen friendships and make memories too. The following individuals will be taking part;
