Asalamualaikum Wa Rahmatallah Wa Barakatu
The University of Kentucky Muslim Student Association comes to you in need of help. In the past few weeks a father of one of our own members has fallen sick. Br. Naeem Sheikh was admitted to the UK ICU after his pneumonia progressed and his condition deteriorated. He is currently on a ventilator and dialysis as well as medical sedation. He has a wife and three daughters and a business that need to be cared for.
Br. Naeem Sheikh is a father, a brother, a husband, a business owner, and a role model. He characterizes what it means to be a family man and proud business owner. Everyone who knows him is a witness to his kind and genuine nature. He will personally interact with you and make you feel welcome everytime you meet him. Their restaurant business is his pride and joy. Br. Naeem Sheikh uses the restaurant as a means to bring the community together. He took special care to provide opportunities for Muslim immigrant families in their restaurant. He incorporated them within his own family and gave them a purpose and livelihood.
His wife, Sabahat Sheikh, has been working day and night through his hospitalization to maintain their business. She is a motherly figure to all in the community. She makes sure you are happy and leave with a full stomach. Together, they have raised a wonderful and respectable family. His two eldest daughters, Dua and Eman, attend the University of Kentucky and work full time to help their parents run the family business. They have a third daughter in middle school as well.
A day in the ICU can cost tens of thousands of dollars. All funds collected will be given to Br. Naeem Sheikh's family to help support them and their business in this time of need. This may also cover medical bills and any necessities during this trying time.
The University of Kentucky Muslim Student Association sincerely appreciates your contribution in supporting Br. Naeem Sheikh and his family in this very difficult time. We pray for the best and ask that you do the same.
