After the exciting news that a player from Braintree Futsal Club has been selected for the prestigious Top 12 event and is to represent Brazil in Spain. We as a club aim to raise funds via GoFundMe to help towards the costs and expenses of this tour.
Marley and his team participated in the World futsal Cup in December competing against Brazilian and American teams (some of the best in the world).
He had a very impressive World Futsal Cup tournament back in December 2018. He scored 6 goals and assisted 4 and was instrumental in guiding his team to play in the final in which they eventually lost to a strong Brazilian team.
He was highly regarded by the coach of the eventual gold medealists and because of this he has been invited to attend an elite event in Barcelona for a week during March where 48 of the best players from 4 different regions across the world have been selected to attend the event where they will be trained by some of the best coaches in the game and experience a week of full on futsal just like a pro.
Marley will represent Brazil and would have the opportunity to work with one of the country’s best futsal coaches on a 1 to 1 basis and play for the Brazil select team against teams from Spain, North America, and Oceana in a tournament at the end of the event.
It would be a fantastic opportunity for him to train with, and play futsal against some of the worlds best players and to top it off to be coached by a Brazilian coach (from Palmeiras).
We will provide updates of Marley’s experience through social media during the event.
All the money raised will go towards the fees for the event, flights, accommodation, transfers, and tours. Whatever can be raise will be very much appreciated.
