Hi Beloved Friends,
Thank You immensely for all your Love, Care, Kindness and Generosity thus far. This is so very weird and humbling to ask, but I could really use some financial $upport. So, if it feels right for you, and you comfortably have the means, I'd graciously appreciate and accept your generosity. ( I also have a Zelle account if you'd prefer that route.} If you'd like to help in a different way, you could share this page, pray for me and send good vibes, send a delicious meal my way at some point, or send encouraging words my way.
1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lives. You likely have another friend or family member who has, or will face this awful disease. I've been battling breast cancer for about a year now and have depleted my savings in the process. Before opting in to western medical care, I tried everything I could to heal myself naturally and incurred a lot of out of pocket expenses. I've been out of work since starting chemo in September and I have several more months of various treatment ahead.
Here are some details if you are interested...
In early February2021 I found a lump in my right breast. I didn't have a Doctor or insurance and wasn't sure what to do, so after some time passed and the lump was still there, I went to the health clinic and they sent me for a mammogram and ultrasound March 31. The radiologist told me it looked "Highly Suspicious" and I needed to get a biopsy ASAP. I had a major meltdown for a few days. then figured out I needed to get insurance. Thankfully, I got a good policy through the affordable care act. I got the biopsy (which was incredibly unpleasant) and finally on May 17, 2021 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Invasive Lobular Carcinoma ER+ PR+ HER2- . The main tumor was about 3cm. I've had MRI ,PET scan, CT scans, and multiple ultrasounds since then and it looks like it hasn't spread to other organs, but it looked to be in a couple lymph nodes and a few other locations in the same breast. Stage 3 and locally advanced. I've been though lots of emotional ups and down since then, denial, depression, overwhelm, anger, hope fear, etc.
Before opting in to chemo in September, I dove deeply into researching how to heal myself naturally and I learned a ton. Many people have healed naturally from cancer, so I was hopeful that I could do the same. I changed my diet, started exercising more, and started on about a million pricey supplements. I tried frequency medicine, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, colonics, cranio-sacral, reiki, far infrared sauna, weekly high dose vitamin C and Curcumin IV therapy, etc.... I saw 2 different Holistic doctors several times, a Naturopathic MD, and a Homeopath and Acupuncturist (all of which don't take insurance). I also got a couple DNA tests. Turns out I have none of the 47 genetic variants known to be related to breast cancer. I did the RGCC test and had my blood sent to Greece where they grow out the circulating tumor cells and try various chemotherapies, hormone therapies and natural substances to see how the tumor will respond to these treatments. Some of the supplements I took were possibly helping a little, some not at all. A couple chemotherapy drugs looked 80%, helpful, but of course chemo devastates your whole body in the process. Around then I found out the main tumor had doubled in size, so I decided to opt into chemo and hope for the best.
I never imagined being in this position, and I am now so thankful for all the Doctors on my healing team and the chemotherapy that is shrinking the cancer. It has had some serious and awful side effects, but actually has been easier than I had imagined. I had a good report at the doctor the other day and it looks like the chemo has shrunk the main tumor drastically and it looks to be no longer in the lymph nodes. Will know more for sure after an MRI in a couple weeks. I am still facing a mastectomy in March and a month of radiation in April , and years of hormone therapy, but I am hopeful for a long and healthful life!
Thanks for reading that lengthy explanation!
Thanks to those of you that have already reached out and sent kind words, love, prayers, and gifts of support. It has been amazing to feel so much love.
I'm forever thankful for your care and loving generosity in whatever form it takes.
Blessings and Good Health for you and All your Loved Ones,
Kristi
