Medical Recovery From Stroke
Donation protected
Hi, my name's Scott McQuiston. I'm a performer living in Pacific Grove, California. I'm 53 years old and asking for your help.
On May 5, 2021, I suffered a stroke. It was a grueling experience and a lengthy recovery process physically. Only exasperated by medical bills. I had just managed to wipe out my credit card debt the week prior, something I was very proud of when this emergency hit me. Before I left the hospital I had to pay $4000 just to cover my insurance premium. Although I had insurance, it wasn't the best, as most of us can relate to. In the past two years, my doctor visits and pharmacy costs have just been mounting and mounting leading me to where I am now. My credit cards are tapped out, I still owe the doctors for my most recent visit last year, and I cannot afford to go see my doctor for future visits. He's cutting off my numerous prescriptions until I go see him again. My health is more important than my pride, which is why I'm reaching out to my community for help. I cherish being an actor, I hope I've touched the lives of any audience member who's seen me on stage. I'm hoping what laughter or tears I've hopefully provided might be repaid in helping me continue with my medical and monetary recovery. I have a great sense of pride and it humbles me to ask this of folks, but I have no choice at this point. I need to be able to afford my medication and future doctor visits.
Thank you for any support you can assist with. Gods bless you if you can.
