Bob's Medical Expenses

Hello Everyone, Whether you met him once at a bike run, a bible study, a close friend, or a family member, you know that Bob leaves an impression on everyone he meets. Unfortunately, he was involved in a motorcycle accident on May 12th. He ended up with broken ribs; one that punctured his lung where they put in a drain tube; a broken cheekbone; lacerations to the back of his head, nose and the side of his face that needed plastic surgery; along with road rash on both arms. He had plastic surgery on his face last week and had a follow up appt today. He will be scheduled for another surgery on his face next week. As his face injury is healing it is pulling his left bottom eye lid down. As a result, we do not know when he will be able to return to work. Before the accident Bob was diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia (a form of blood cancer) that is very treatable. He had just finished a round of chemo the week of the accident. He is scheduled to go back for more infusions in a couple of weeks and then, God willing, will be in remission. Bob has not been able to drive for Swift Transportation during this time and has not been given a timeframe of when he will be able to return. He does not get paid time off or receive any disability.
