On August 26th Terri Fish-Ploenske (daughter of Judy Fish) was in a very bad accident when the 6 wheeler UTV she was operating on their farm rolled off an embankment, landing on top of her, leaving her a quadriplegic. She was med flighted to the University of Wisconsin Hospital where she underwent multiple surgeries; including removal of her C5/6 & C6/7 vertebrae followed by weeks in the Intensive Care Unit. She been challenged the past couple months rehabilitating at multiple locations due to insurance limitations.
She continues to fight and endure the pain mentally and physically every day in hopes of seeing improvements so that one day soon she will be able to come home and be with her family & all of her beloved 4-legged friends. We do not have an estimate for the anticipated expenses of Terri’s ongoing care, however she will be in need of handicap accessible items i.e. motorized wheelchair, handicap accessible vehicle, adaptive equipment, and some home modifications, most of which are not covered by insurance. Additionally, her husband Chad has been unable to steadily work as he remains steadfast by her side.
We can only imagine how hard this is to comprehend such a life changing tragedy, much less the financial burden. We have created this page in effort to help with the financial impact. Together we can support Terri & Chad and help them focus on healing and recovery instead of the financial stress. Every little bit of your donation counts and is greatly appreciated.
