MHS Madrigals Music for All Trip

Our booster organization is on a mission to help our students raise money for a very special endeavor. They have been asked to participate in an extremely competitive program called the "Music for All National Choir Festival" in March. Choirs from all over the country auditioned for this elite honor and MHS was so special, it was chosen to perform with their exceptional peers nationwide. Our students will be exposed to the best of the best musicians, educators and conductors in the choral arena. While Music for All will provide a positive life-changing experience for each voice, it comes at a premium price. The festival is in Indianapolis and there are many costs associated with admission and travel expenses.
Our Choir is very accomplished, in the past they have won 1st and 2nd place in the WRAL Christmas Carol competition. Our members have attended NC's All-State Choir Festivals, NC Governor's School, and many other in-state festivals and workshops. We are the first High School Choir to be invited in Wake County NC to this festival!
Here's what one student wrote about what this opportunity means to them:
"This choir trip means the world to me. Being able to go to a national festival and work with some of the most talented musicians in the country is a once in a lifetime opportunity. This trip is the equivalence of the football team being able to train with NFL coaches and players. It's a big deal! Working with students from around the country is a wonderful opportunity to get to know many new people and create long lasting friendships. This trip is super expensive, but I am willing to use the money I have made working in order to have this experience. However, I am a high school senior and am saving up money for college and would love all the help I can get!"
Our students come from various financial situations, and as you can imagine, some of our families just can not afford to pay for the trip. We, the volunteer booster organization, are working tirelessly to raise money to offset as much of the $50,000 total cost as we can. We are reaching out to you, in hopes that you would consider making a tax deductible donation to our 501c3 non-profit organization.
