Please Help Save my Life

I have been known for many things over the course of my life: bicycle racer, fly fishing guide, Pro kayak angler, outdoor writer, fly casting instructor, sea kayaker, novelist, screenwriter, internet marketer, and fanatical supporter of the Athens music scene. But slowly over the last decade, a new identity has taken over my life – idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patient.

I truly wish this progressive lung disease weren’t fatal, but after losing my mother to IPF and now approaching the end stages of the disease myself, I am in desperate need of a double lung transplant at Emory University in Decatur, Georgia.

Emory Transplant Center requires this fundraising before I can be listed for transplant. The money from this GoFundMe will go into an account at the Georgia Transplant Foundation and will pay for life saving medications and expenses related to receiving pre and post transplant care.
